Languages Extravaganza
I really enjoyed the Languages Extravaganza last night. All the performances were fantastic and it showed a wide variety of talent throughout the school. Pupils from year 7 to 13 took part leaving a total of 87 people expressing their ability to speak foreign languages.
The preparation
In preparation the Languages Extravaganza our class (7S) sang, in class, to a tape. We sang a song in Spanish called ‘El Profesor Me Fastidia’. After that we began to make up actions to make it easier for the audience to understand the meaning of the song. On Tuesday (2 days before the show) we had a meeting in the main hall and arranged how we would sit on stage.
Languages Extravaganza
A total of 8 languages were spoken throughout the night. Spanish, French, German, Norwegian, Italian, Punjabi, Russian and Latin! All of them were fantastic. Mr Alan gave the opening speech, which was followed by many talented songs, dances and short sketches. During the interval food from around the world was served as well as a short quiz. The second half was fantastic! It included many songs and an exclusive dance by Mrs Morris!
Overall the night was a success. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and I’m sure they’ll all be at the next one!
