Albert 2010

When we went to France, we visited a great park called park Asterix (near Paris). It was amazing! Every ride was a real thrill. We started on a small wet ride, to get the wet bit out of the way. The water rapids –not very rapid- was the first one we saw. It was ok, but we where just too exited to go on the massive rollercoaster. Once we’d gotten off, we ran to the big ride and got on as soon as possible. Luckily the queue wasn’t too big, because it was a weekday, and still quite early. As I got on, I got butterflies in my stomach, but when we were climbing to the top of the rollercoaster, my excitement overcame my nervousness. When we started to pick up speed, we dropped down into a loop followed by 3 more loops! Then there was a great double cork-screw that made us feel as if we were about to fall of the ride. On top of that, there were yet 2 more loops until we finally came to a stop. That was definitely the best bit of the France Trip ☺☻

Trip to Albert

The trip to Albert was brilliant; my favourite part was when we went to Park Asterix. We went on lots

of rides in a big group, the fist ride I went on was the log flume, this was a water ride which I enjoyed lots because at the end you got drenched, but my favourite ride was the ship because I lost my shoe on it, it flew of in to the distance(thankfully I got it in the end).

 

We also went to the old trenches where they told us 4 sheep a year were blown up in the fields by un exploded bombs. I went round the trenches with my friends; Laurence killey and Dylan Bould.

 

Our final trip was to the old bomb shelter which is now a museum. They had dug many old things from the first world war, there were bombs, grenades, rifles, pistols, helmets and many more.

 

I had a great time in France and I hope in the near future I will be able to do something like that again with school.

Language Trips!

   

 

Welcome back to most of year 7 who spent last week in Albert, Cologne and Barcelona practicing the language skills they had picked up this year and discovering the cultures of their chosen European country.  Reports to follow!

Language Trips 2010

The letters for this year's Language trips went out today.  These are open to all year seven pupils depending on which languages they study and run the same week in June (22/23rd - 26th June).  All three of the trips have exciting itineraries and provide our pupils with the opportunity to practise the language skills they have learnt this year in a real-life situation.
