Languages Extravaganza
Hello/hola/bonjour
The languages extravaganza was a great success, it went very well and we all enjoyed it. I performed: “El profesor me fastidia!” It couldn’t have gone better.
The preparation in lessons was fun and it was another reason to think Yay! when it was a Spanish lesson.
The words were really easy to remember and I feel I know more Spanish from the experience.
The food was very good, ranging from pizza from
Goodbye/adios/au revoir.

Languages extravaganza
There was a lot of preparation for the extravaganza as we started preparation for it up to 1 month before the actual event
The song that we were doing was el professor me fastidia which was hard to learn. But in the end we learnt it and it went really well.

In preparation to the languages extravaganza the class would sing “El professor me fastidia” in lessons to get the right tune. We did this preparation for approximately 2 months.
We had to decide who would do each part and decide who would be the annoying teacher. We finally decided that Wesley would be the annoying teacher and Simran would introduce us to the audience.
El professor me fastidia translated into English is My teacher is annoying.
The language extravaganza was held at Heckmondwike Grammar School hall on Thursday 25th March 2010. The night was a success and the audience loved it. The 87 participants were fantastic and they really enjoyed themselves.

Preparation for the languages extravaganza.
We prepared for the language extravaganza a few weeks in advance by signing the song “EL PROFESOR ME FASTIDIA” which can be translated as my teacher is so annoying!!!
We then practised the song at the end of the lesson. Before the languages extravaganza we chose Wesley as our teacher and practised the song with actions and props.
At the languages extravaganza.
At the language extravaganza it was a lot of fun watching the others and doing the performance.
Lots of the performances were funny, especially the amplifier one with Mrs Morris dancing. I also liked the leben in einer WG. Overall I enjoyed every thing because it was funny.

Languages Extravaganza
I really enjoyed the Languages Extravaganza last night. All the performances were fantastic and it showed a wide variety of talent throughout the school. Pupils from year 7 to 13 took part leaving a total of 87 people expressing their ability to speak foreign languages.
The preparation
In preparation the Languages Extravaganza our class (7S) sang, in class, to a tape. We sang a song in Spanish called ‘El Profesor Me Fastidia’. After that we began to make up actions to make it easier for the audience to understand the meaning of the song. On Tuesday (2 days before the show) we had a meeting in the main hall and arranged how we would sit on stage.
Languages Extravaganza
A total of 8 languages were spoken throughout the night. Spanish, French, German, Norwegian, Italian, Punjabi, Russian and Latin! All of them were fantastic. Mr Alan gave the opening speech, which was followed by many talented songs, dances and short sketches. During the interval food from around the world was served as well as a short quiz. The second half was fantastic! It included many songs and an exclusive dance by Mrs Morris!
Overall the night was a success. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and I’m sure they’ll all be at the next one!

On the 25th of March, my class performed ‘El profesor me fastidia’ (my teacher is annoying). It was a song in Spanish and I was the teacher. I looked mad because every 5 seconds I had to wiggle my finger. Also, I had to dance at one point.
There were loads of shows and they went from acting, to dancing, to singing and then to a fashion show. Overall the show was a blast.
To top everything off we had a break ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..for…………………………………………………………………..some………………………………………………European food. There was pizza and cake and croissants and cake and drinks and cake and even more cake.

I really enjoyed the languages extravaganza last night. The acts that were performing were very entertaining. There were lots of languages that were performed and all in different ways (e.g. there was a girl singing in French and Goldilocks and the 3 Bears in Spanish). As well as languages, there was a range of pupils (from 11-18 years old).
PREPARATION
Our form (7S) sang a song called ‘El Professor Me Fastidia’ which was in Spanish. In preparation for the song, we sang along to a tape which helped us to learn the words.
